What it means to be a mentor
Who Can Be a Mentor? You must be at least 21 years old and complete the Heart Gallery Mentor Program Application Process. There is no limit on the age. The youth we service are in foster care. They need someone that is willing to commit and dedicate time to them. Mentors are all ages and consist of business people, stay at home moms, families, single people, college students, retired people, grandparents, as long as you have a desire and dedication to youth and are able to complete our Heart Gallery Mentor Program Application Process that is all it takes.
* You as the mentor will have information for the foster family, case worker and all other members of the youths care team to help and support the youth in the areas they need help in.
* You as the mentor can choose the activities and times you wish to do your mentoring you wish to participate in.
* These youth need you! It only takes 10 hours a month and can be more if you want.
* We ask that each mentor dedicate to a youth for at least 1 year and longer if you want.
