For Families Considering Independent Adoption


Boys & Girls Aid is offering weekend pre-adoption trainings for families that need to fulfill state requirements for private independent adoption in Oregon.

Meets new requirements for private adoptions in Oregon Available weekends as a 2-day course in Portland Developed and presented by a non-sectarian child welfare agency

Training Dates for 2010: SAT & SUN: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm (daily)

October 16-17

A Parent Training Program Designed by Love and Logic® Institute, Inc

This training program is designed to give you practical parenting skills that can be used immediately and provide with opportunities to practice and debrief each week.

ANSWERS TO:

“How do I get my kids to go to bed without a struggle?”
“How can I stop the bickering and fighting?”
“How do I get my kids to help with chores without an argument?”
“Is there a way to discipline a toddler in public without creating a scene?”
“How do I stop begging at the store?” And many other day-to-day parenting challenges…

Classes highlight the use of Love and Logic with children who have experienced parenting disruptions and are being raised by foster, kinship, and/or adoptive families.

Dates: Winter 2010
6 Consecutive Thursday Evenings:
2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, & 3/18
