MARK & ANTHONY

TWO SPECIAL LITTLE BOYS WHO NEED A SPECIAL FAMILY
MarkAnthony

DO YOU HAVE A PLACE IN YOUR HEART FOR THEM?

Mark and Anthony

Sunny dispositions radiate from the faces of these brothers, ready to brighten the hearts of a lucky adoptive family. Mark and Anthony "AJ" are a jovial pair with easy-going dispositions despite their life challenges. Mark
's big blue eyes shine with amazement as he explores the world around him, while AJ watches him with wonderment and quiet curiosity. Mark's enjoyment with drawing - perhaps he's a budding Picasso - is overshadowed only by his love of the outdoors. Mark is "all boy" as he digs in the dirt and chases after a ball. Although small for his age, AJ is always trying to keep up with his older brother. His blue eyes sparkle with his curiosity for his surroundings. AJ's first love is books, particularly books about animals. He is especially excited when the reader creates the animal noises to accompany the animal pictures. These boys are brothers through and through and enjoy a strong, affectionate bond with each other. Mark and Anthony face daily challenges with significant developmental delays, however they have made steady progress with the consistency of their early intervention programs and with the support of their loving foster parents. Mark and AJ will benefit from a two-parent adoptive family who have an understanding and knowledge of how generational mental health issues may impact Mark and AJ as they grow and develop. In addition, adoptive parents with strong advocacy skills are a must to ensure that these brothers receive appropriate medical and educational services to assist them in reaching their full potential. A sense of humor, lots of energy and skillful patience will enable an adoptive family to share each treasured moment these boys will create.

Finally, an adoptive family for Mark and AJ will be open to maintaining the boys' relationship with their relative foster parents.

HEART GALLERY CHILD OF THE MONTH IS GOING WEEKLY!

We are very happy to announce that our partnership with KVAL, Bi-mart, McKenzie Broadcasting and many others is going to be weekly.  We will continue to do our First Monday Video segment with Shelley Kurtz on KVAL, along with partners McKenzie Broadcasting and Bi-mart to feature a special child each month.  In addition to this, we will be on the KVAL news once a week with a portrait and Life Story of a waiting Heart Gallery Child, sponsored by Kidsports.

We are also picking up steam with company and community newsletters to include a child in their own unique way.  We would encourage any business that might have a way of featuring a child monthly or weekly (in a flyer, newsletter or web page) to contact us and get on our email list to receive our monthly information on children to be featured.

cbobie@aol.com

We have had fabulous results, together!  Can you believe that we have a 90% placement rate of the children we feature?  This is just another example of how a community can make a difference!

Please Mark your Calendars for our Opening/Celebration event!  November 4th at the Eugene Hilton, 5:30-8:00.  We are Celebrating 1 year of amazing results.  The kind of results you can only get when you join together to make a difference!

Web Page Update:

We were blessed to be supported by an extremely generous group of people, including

AMC, Marty Hall, Neil Moyer and Shannon Barnard of Adept Computer Services.

Thanks to them as well as our very dedicated volunteer, Jennifer Hancock, we will be up and running in a matter of weeks.  Until then, our two other web sites www.afamilyforeverychild.org and www.lanecountyheartgallery.org will continue to be accessible and updated as needed.

We are excited about our new focus which will be video and audio of as many of the children as we can.  It has been proven that allowing people to see the faces and hear the voices of these special children makes a huge difference.  We will also make every effort to be a viable source of community education and resource for those wanting to get involved in changing the lives of our foster children.

So watch for our increased visibility in the media!
