Che't
Eight-year-old
Che't (pronounced Shay), is an endearing young boy
who will warm your heart with his smile. He can be
very quiet at times, but once engaged, he becomes
a chatter box. Che't likes watching Disney movies,
playing outside, and playing with his toys,
especially cars and action figures! While he is
very active, he does have a hard time
sitting still. He engages easily with adults and
wants to please them.
Che't needs a
committed, patient and kind adoptive family. Che't
will need to be the youngest or only child in a
family. He'll need structure and consistency to
meet his social, mental health, and academic
needs. Families who can advocate for Che't, and
work cooperatively with other social service
providers will also be important in helping Che't
reach his full potential. With an unconditional
commitment to help him achieve emotional and
behavioral stability, and lots of love, Che't
could be a great
success.

Abegail,
Memphis,
Venessa
Ages
4, 2, 1

Abegail,
Memphis, and Venessa need adoptive parents that
can provide a high level of predictability,
structure, supervision and consistency. The
children prefer low-stimulation and sticking close
to their caregivers.
Abegail has a very
sweet face with a shy smile. She is sweet, smart,
nurturing, and follows directions. She loves being
outdoors, riding bikes, and running. She is very
talkative and full of positive energy. Abegail
needs to remain with Memphis and Venessa and have
the opportunity to be connected with her
half-sibling Kayla.
Memphis loves to be
outside riding bikes and playing with trucks. He
enjoys looking at books and listening to music. He
loves his foster father and follows him around
when he comes home from work, ''helping'' him with
farm chores.
Venessa is a happy baby.
She is very social and loves to interact with
other kids. She loves baths and closes her eyes
and just relaxes in the warm water. She likes to
be cuddled and enjoys music.
Their
adoptive family will need to be patient,
accepting, and nurturing with a good support
system. The children thrive on nurturing, parental
attention, and lots of outdoor time and play. They
may benefit from safe contact with their
six-year-old sister. The children will need an
adoptive family who will work with the services
required to support their ongoing progress and
needs over time such as counseling, early
intervention services, and academic support.

Savannah
is a charming, sweet five-year-old girl with a
precious smile. She has a strong and
affectionate relationship with Shania. Savannah
enjoys taking care of her dollies, riding her
bike, skipping and hopping, reading, grooming
her hair, cheerleading, and likes to look
at herself in the mirror. She shows pride when
showing her very neat and tidy
room.
Shania is a delightfully and
irresistibly cute four-year-old girl. Even
though she is the youngest, she keeps up with
her older siblings and occasionally likes to be
the boss. Shania is a cheerleader for a middle
school football team and eagerly shares her love
of music and dance. She likes Barbies, books,
coloring, board games and hair adornments. She
is excited and eager to learn new things and be
involved in activities at home and school.
Shania is a smart little girl with an incredible
memory making it very easy for her to learn new
dances and songs.
Savannah and Shania
entered care on December 7, 2006. Savannah and
Shania have seven additional siblings. They
visit with two of them on a regular basis.
Savannah and Shania enjoy their regular contact
with their brothers. Savannah and Shania are not
currently visiting their mother or other family
members. Mediation will be offered to the birth
family.
Their adoptive family will need
to be a strong team that will participate in
services. The family will need to be able to be
flexible as both children will need different
types of parenting. The family will need to
provide extra structure, routine, and
predictability with lots of patience and love.
The family will need to be open to facilitating
contact with the siblings and biological family.
It is hoped that Savannah and Shania will have a
supportive family environment to assist their
visits with their siblings and in their play
together. The family will need to have an
ability to be flexible in their parenting so
that they may establish a relationship with the
children, apply different structure for each
child based on the child's needs, and shower
each child with positive attention.

Age
6
I
am happy to introduce to you a wonderful little
boy named Jason. Jason is an
absolute delight to be around. He is
respectful, happy, and pleasant most of the
time. He does tend to get nervous around people
he doesn't know, but can easily warm up to new
faces. Jason loves video games, trucks, hot
wheels, camping, fishing, hunting, mud bogging,
and just being outdoors in general. Jason is
eager to share his toys and belongings with
others around him and is great at taking
turns.
Jason has two younger sisters;
however, he does not have a significant
relationship with either one of them. One of
Jason's sisters was adopted in 2006 and the
other sister is being raised by his mother in
another state. Jason was in foster care at the
time of her birth and has met her once. At this
time, Jason does not have contact with any of
his birth family. Jason has asked about visiting
his birth mother and father so some type of
contact might be in his best interest.
Jason does appear to have some trauma
issues from his past, which includes not having
much stability or a permanent home. Jason would
do best in a family that provides him
a structured environment and lots of love.
Jason does not appear to need any extra
supervision above what is appropriate for his
age. He would love to be a big brother and has
said that he is excited to have a family of his
own. Jason is a very special boy who has so much
to offer. Any family willing to commit to Jason
would be rewarded with a lifetime of laughter,
enjoyment, memories and
love.

Professional
Bulletin Photos
By knowing how important a good photo is
to recruitment, AFFEC is now offering to take
professional photos for child bulletins. We are
committed to a two week turn around (although
caseworker or foster parent schedules may make
this more difficult).
We have developed our statewide list of
photographers that can (within a week of our
call) photograph a child or sibling group.
Within a week of images being taken, we will
email the .jpg images to caseworkers. We then
store all images for further recruitment tools
if requested by the caseworker. All that is
needed is the referral form linked
below:
