SNAC is a public-private cooperative effort between The Department of Human Services (DHS) and several licensed private adoption agencies. Housed at and administered by The Boys and Girls Aid Society of Oregon, SNAC is dedicated to recruiting, preparing, screening, and counseling families for the adoption of Oregon children who are in the state’s custody. With 39 adoption units located in DHS offices throughout the state, in addition to the 10 private agencies that comprise the SNAC Coalition, Oregon is able to offer a comprehensive range of adoption services.
