Kayla is a bright, energetic girl who enjoys bowling, all kinds of music, riding horses and Chinese food. She loves spending time at the coast and loves the Ducks! Samuel is a normal teen. He wants to be in the military one day. He likes the Navy and the Marines. He enjoys war movies (especially Mel Gibson and Tom Hanks). He also likes the gospel music from back east. He enjoys playing sports including football and basketball and running long distance track. He enjoys attending church as well. Samuel is looking forward to having a mentor who can try new things with him. He'd like to try fishing, camping, hiking and just being outside. Bryce is needing a strong male role model in his life right now. He would like someone to have fun with who knows how to laugh and to be normal. He feels that his strengths are sports, being social, a good communicator, and he just likes being a kid. He has many activities he enjoys as well. Eleven year old, Phillip loves sports, like bowling and basketball, and he’s pretty good at both, but he needs guidance in how to win or lose, gracefully. He is a very active boy but is able to sit through Church services, which he also enjoys. A male role model, who would take the time to shoot some hoops with Phillip, would do a world of good for his self esteem. The simple presence of a man, regularly paying attention to Phillip could be enough to help him get along with his peers, which could change his life.

Zachary is fourteen and he wants to be a Police Officer, when he grows up. Zach likes school and his favorite subject is reading, especially Dragon books. He also likes soccer and playing outdoors. He would most benefit from a Mentor who could provide him with “hands-on” exploration of his career goals. A “ride-along” with a Police Officer would be a dream come true.

Anastazia, who likes to be called Stazi, acts more like a teenager than a 10 year old girl. She likes make-up, making her own jewelry, arts & crafts, and hanging out with her friends. She has her own bike and enjoys riding around the neighborhood and in the parks. Stazi needs a Mentor, who can help her channel her energy, doing the things she enjoys, but will also guide her into discovering other activities shared by her peers. She needs a Mentor who can show her that being a kid can still be fun.

The first thing you notice after seeing 11 year old Maggi's bright eyes is her lively intelligence. She is reading at high school level and doing well in school. Her favorite books are about princesses, fairies and dragons. She enjoys designing clothes on the computer and wants to learn to sew and do crafts. She loves animals, especially horses and dogs and would like to do 4h someday. She's an entertaining conversationalist and has opinons on many topics. Her favorite color is purple. She likes most foods but she particularly likes hamburgers and pizza. Maggi has been in the foster care system since she was four, and would love to find her forever family. She'd like a family with another girl her age or have a friend nearby. Someday she would like to have an American girl doll and she loves the American girl books.

Alexander, prefers to be called Alex is a bright and intelligent 10 year old boy with beautiful big brown eyes and hair. He is very interested in art and drawing and from time to time likes to make books out of his creations. He enjoys video and computer games. He would like to become a game designer or a veterinarian once he because older. He truly enjoys animals so he is leaning towards becoming a vet. His favorite food is pizza without any veggies. Alex comes from a large family and does often see his brother who is also in foster care and mother. He wants to make sure that his mentor had time to spend with him and has the drive to try new things. Alex is very excited to have the opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with someone other than his family.

Khrystina is a outgoing girl who can be quiet at first, but high energy as you get to know her. She enjoys a lot of different things including ice skating, riding four wheelers, going to the mall, watching movies. She is into a lot of different mediums of art such as photography, painting, charcoal, and spray paint. Khrystina is looking for a mentor who is into the same things as well as athletic. She just took up wrestling and is loving her classes and looking forward to working out in a gym one day. Like most teenagers she loves communicating with her friends through myspace. Mekayla is a beautiful young girl with an amazing smile. She is shy when you first meet her but after some talking and spending time her foster mom says she has tons to talk about. She loves beading and playing with her the other kids in the house. Her teachers this year brag on her to her foster mom in how well she is doing in school although she says she doesn't like it. She would love to try cheerleading when she gets older, but for now likes to skate and has loved roller costars the few times she has been on them. She would like to have a mentor to do fun stuff with outside of her home.

Robert is a great kid that has moved around a lot. He loves sports and loves his sisters as annoying as they can get sometimes, they are his family. He is taking a class in school on drafting and is very interested in bridges and the architecture and construction of them.
He is slowly growing to love figuring out how things are built as he learns how to draw the blue prints to them. Loves to joke and laugh and is an outdoor kid when he gets the chance. His favorite sport is soccer, but would love to go to a duck game as well. He is excited to share and learn from a male mentor the joys of being a boy.
