Family Building Facts About Support If you are just starting, or part way through and have questions or a desire to talk to someone that has been through the adoption process before--call or e-mail us. We are here to support you, and answer your questions and be a calming voice during a confusing and exciting time. To All Families who have adopted through DHS or are pursuing interest in adopting a child. Our Family Building program has been developed to help families and families-to-be build a positive healthy support system within our community. A Family For Every Child, Family Building, our staff, volunteer parent members, and all our content partners such as DHS have compiled this resource. As part of this program we are able to provide guidance, answer questions, create support groups, find mentor families, and extend knowledge of available resources to new adoptive families. Adoption Friends are volunteer adoption parents that can help you through each step of the adoption process. They can give you a shoulder on which to cry, an ear with which to listen, a place to vent, or just someone to talk to and ask questions so you don't have to go through this alone. We are here to help! Accessing an Adoption Friends Program is easy; this is how it works:
